First Moroccan festival in Houston, TX
NEWS - NEWS

tweeter rss

Led by the Moroccan Society of Houston, the Moroccan community will be hosting the first ever Moroccan festival in Houston, TX. The festival will be held on the first weekend of the month of August in 2007 and it is an opportunity for our community to show off its culture and traditions.

With several exhibitions, the festival will be a full day of fun, good food, and learning. It is a chance to explore and sample a great variety of delicious Mediterranean food, talk to exhibitors, learn about Moroccan products, and get the chance to shop at "show special" discounts.

The festival will also offer a stellar lineup of speakers, including Moroccan authors who will be holding book signing sessions, music aficionados, and others. And for the kids, we plan on having moon walks, a petting zoo, face painting, and other activities.

In our effort to make this festival a memorable one, we want to hear your ideas on how to make our festival more appealing to the visitors. We encourage each of you to write us or email us your suggestions. Please specify which category your suggestions apply to when replying to this communication.

The following is an initial list of activities to showcase in the festival:

1. About Morocco

2. Fashion Show

3. Authors & Speakers

4. Arts & Crafts

5. Food & Music

6. Kids Activities

7. Atlas soccer cup

8. Tennis tournament

The Moroccan Society of Houston is an all-volunteer, non profit organization and we really need everyone’s help to pull this off. If you like to volunteer, sponsor or have your own exhibition, please contact us on the below email address and indicate which activity from above you are interested in.
