And what about those disheveled people And what about those unbrushed people And what about those exhausted people And what about those invisible people Those wrinkled and cotton people, don’t they have a flag? Don’t they have a country since America is home to the greats?
And what about those native people And what about those reservation people And what about those imported people And what about those rainbow people Those accented apologetic people, what color is their flag? Don’t they have a place in society or a spot on TV?
And what about those crack people And what about those jobless people And what about those locked up people And what about those forgotten people Those scarred nasty people, don’t they have a flag? What color would it be since America is only home to the free?
And finally what about those slightly different people Those unpatriotic disengaged people Those crazy anti-war people And those savage gay people Can’t they have a country and where would it be? Can they have their own flag since America is only home to the brave
